Dr Shanker Vijay is London’s GP Lead for Digital Transformation (Primary Care) in NHS England. He is also a Digital/IT lead in North West London ICB. He started working as a GP in 2004 and based on patient feedback, he is currently rated the number 1 GP on iWantGreatCare. His management experience includes working at Board level in both Commissioning and Provider organisations. Shanker enjoys developing simple innovations for complex problems to benefit both patients and staff. He was a shortlisted finalist for an EHI Award in 2011 for the “Best Use of Social Media in Healthcare”.
