Shahzad Jamil
GPwER MSK Medicine and Rheumatology, Community Pain Management Clinician and Education Lead,
Rethinking Pain Bradford, West Yorkshire.
Dr Jamil is educational lead for Rethinking Pain, bringing his postgraduate educational design and delivery experience to help optimise the experience of patients living with long term pain in Bradford and Craven.
Dr Jamil is a keynote conference speaker for pain management nationally and has spoken at the RCGP One Essential Pain Management course and will be speaking at the RCGP Clinical Health Inequalities conference this year.
He has extensive postgraduate medical educational experience, including previous senior medical lecturing post at Bradford University and facilitating at RCGP accredited AKT preparation workshops. He remains committed to supporting GP Training locally having completed the GP trainer pathway and frequently contributing to the VTS programme.
He remains active in several clinical roles including routine sessional GP, GPwER MSK and community pain management clinics.
Additionally, he holds non-clinical roles as a NHS GP Appraiser and regional GP Fellowship Mentor and is committed to the values of core General Practice.
