Nirusha Govender is an award-winning senior NHS leader with over 25 years’ experience across clinical pharmacy, public health, quality, and patient safety. As Associate Director for Pharmacy Workforce, Quality & Safety at NHS Kent and Medway ICB, she leads system-wide governance integration, quality improvement and strategic pharmacy workforce planning aligned to national priorities. She is a contributor to a recent Routledge publication and a 2022 HSJ Patient Safety Award winner for medicines optimisation in special schools. A committed NHS MIND mentor/coach and STEM ambassador, Nirusha champions equity, integration, and #LeadershipWithPurpose to challenge the status quo and drive compassionate, patient-centred care.
