Dr Dom Pimenta is driven by the disconnect between rapid advances in clinical AI research and the limited adoption of these tools in real-world healthcare. Determined to close that gap, he joined Europe’s leading accelerator, Entrepreneur First, where he co‑founded TORTUS in 2022. TORTUS created the world’s first AI agent for healthcare: a true clinical co‑pilot capable of handling software tasks for physicians and harnessing broader AI capabilities. As founding CEO and later chair of The Healthcare Workers' Foundation, he helped raise £3.2m during the COVID‑19 pandemic and has received several national awards for his contributions.
