Anish Kotecha

Director of Education, Learna Ltd
Anish Kotecha MRCGP, FAcadMEd, MBBCh, BSc Anish Kotecha works as a GP in South Wales. He has an expanding role in medical education and has been elected to fellowship of the Academy of Medical Educators. He is the Director of Education at Learna where he is responsible for the strategic planning and development of new postgraduate programmes. He is constantly evaluating the academic and educational integrity of the business and developing the use of AI within the educational space. He contributes to managing relationships with partnering universities and his role includes collaborating with external partners to expand the educational portfolio and supporting the editorial, marketing and teaching services teams and those managing projects for both Diploma MSc and StudyPRN. He has an evolving interest in Anti-ageing Medicine and is the programme leader for an innovative new postgraduate certificate. He has a particular interest in how the study of ageing and information from biological clocks can allow us to recommend specific lifestyle modifications including those relating to diet, sleep, exercise, and stress to offer holistic management that empowers a patient-centred approach. He continues to highlight the benefits of taking an integrative and personalised approach to help more patients live youthfully into old age. Within his other roles, he has written many clinical and non-clinical articles for Pulse, GPOnline, MIMS Learning, Health Education and Improvement Wales and has chaired and spoken at several medical events and conferences. He has published several articles as well as being involved in the concept of creating ‘Billy the Superhero’ which is a book published to encourage young people into a health and social care career. He also works as a GP appraiser, RCGP PCI Accreditation Clinical Lead, RCGP PCD GP Adviser, InnovAiT AKT editor and SCA Revision Lead, RCGP Clinical Events Quality Assessor, GPnotebook TV presenter and Cardiff University Communication Skills Tutor and Examiner for medical students.
