Dr Anish Kotecha is a UK-based General Practitioner and medical educator with expertise in obesity management, lifestyle medicine, and postgraduate medical education. He is Director of Medical Education at Learna Ltd, where he leads the development of UK-university validated online programmes for a global audience of healthcare professionals, and Chief Academic Officer at YouMakr, an AI-driven education technology platform.
Clinically, Dr Kotecha has over a decade of frontline experience as a GP, with a special interest in lifestyle and weight management. He delivers expert training for healthcare professionals and has presented widely on the integration of obesity care into primary care pathways, including the use of anti-obesity medicines, holistic comorbidity optimisation, and health coaching strategies to support sustainable behavioural change including practical frameworks for goal-setting and monitoring progress in primary care.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr Kotecha is an active academic author and speaker. He has published on topics including GLP-1 analogues in anti-ageing, nutritional supplementation, and biological ageing clocks. He has chaired and spoken at national and international conferences and educational symposia.
Dr Kotecha is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRCGP) and the Academy of Medical Educators (FAcadMEd), a GPnotebook TV presenter, and a GP Appraiser.
