Register for a GP surgery service simplifies online patient registrations. This service is for GP practices across England. It makes it simpler to keep track of who has registered at your practice.
It is free and compulsory for all NHS GP practices to use in England.
The service:
- allows new patients to register online
- checks they live within the GP practice catchment area
- matches them to their NHS number, with around a 90% success rate
- sends the registration details to the GP, by email, in a standard format
This year we plan to integrate the service directly with GP clinical systems.
