HYDRATE FASTER. LIVE FULLER.

O.R.S HYDRATION TABLETS Stand: E10
HYDRATE FASTER. LIVE FULLER.

In primary care, dehydration presents more often than we may realise, from the elderly during warmer months, to patients recovering from acute illness, to those managing long-term conditions where electrolyte replenishment is critical. Yet hydration is rarely prioritised as part of proactive patient care. Drinking more water is not always the answer.

Effective hydration depends on electrolyte balance. Without adequate sodium and potassium, much of the fluid consumed may not be optimally absorbed at a cellular level, particularly following illness, heat exposure or physical exertion. O.R.S Hydration Tablets are formulated in line with World Health Organization oral rehydration solution guidelines, providing a clinically grounded approach to rehydration. Each serving delivers a precise balance of sodium, potassium and chloride, alongside a small amount of glucose (17.2 kcal) to support absorption through electrolyte-driven osmosis. This mechanism enables fluids to move efficiently into cells, supporting faster and more effective rehydration than water alone.

Even mild dehydration, as little as 1-2% body weight loss, has been shown to impair attention, memory and clinical decision-making.

Unlike many high-sugar sports drinks designed primarily for energy replacement, O.R.S follows a lower osmolarity formula recommended by the WHO. This helps reduce the risk of hypertonic fluid absorption and hyponatraemia while delivering targeted electrolyte replacement with significantly less sugar. For clinicians, this means a practical, evidence-based option that bridges the gap between traditional oral rehydration therapy and everyday patient Wellbeing.

Suitable for adults and children, O.R.S tablets are vegan friendly, gluten free, lactose free and contain no artificial preservatives, offering reassurance across a broad patient demographic.

O.R.S offers a superior taste profile within the electrolyte market, outperforming traditional electrolyte solutions and competitors. Formulated by pharmacists and prescribed by doctors, O.R.S electrolyte tablets have been refined through over 50 rounds of taste testing to achieve optimal palatability without compromising clinical effectiveness. Meticulously formulated with patients, children, families, and everyday users alike, they deliver a great-tasting hydration solution that is trusted nationwide.

Charles Ebubedike MRPharmS DipTher , CEO and Co-founder of O.R.S Hydration explains: “Hydration is fundamental to human physiology. When electrolytes are depleted, the body cannot efficiently regulate fluid balance, nerve signalling or muscle function. O.R.S was developed to make clinically proven hydration simple and accessible.”

From supporting patients during illness recovery and heat exposure, to advising those at risk of dehydration due to medication or lifestyle factors, O.R.S offers a clinically credible solution as the UK’s #1 prescribed hydration tablet. Visit O.R.S at Stand E10 at the Best Practice Show to learn more about the science behind electrolyte tablets.
