Optimising nutrition to support menopausal health & wellbeing
This practical, evidence-based session explores the connections between nutrition, stress and menopausal health. We will focus on back-to-basics dietary strategies, including the importance of balanced macronutrients to support energy, hormone regulation and stress resilience, alongside key micronutrients that may help alleviate common symptoms.
Attendees will gain actionable tools, including a clinical checklist, to support personalised, holistic consultations in primary care, with brief time at the end for questions if available.
By the end of this session, participants will:
- Understand the connections between nutrition, stress, and the wide-ranging symptoms of menopause, and how dietary approaches can help support patient wellbeing holistically.
- Appreciate the value of practical, evidence-based strategies, such as the Mediterranean diet, in supporting menopausal women
- Gain confidence in discussing simple dietary adjustments and stress management techniques with patients, as part of a personalised care approach.
- Explore tools and resources such as a clinical checklist and complementary non-pharmacological interventions, to optimise care in time-pressured consultations.
- Be better equipped to guide patients towards reliable information and empower them to take an active role in their menopausal health.
