Neighbourhood and community menopause education: ‘addressing health inequalities for women'

This session gives an overview of the community-based menopause education project piloted in East Lancashire. The collaborative approach with community groups to reach women most affected by inequalities. The outcomes and value we achieved, how this model can be replicated and how it aligns with the NHS Direction of travel.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the evidence-based preventative health benefits of addressing hormone deficiencies in women regarding long-term diseases and chronic MSK pain.
- Identify practical ways to work collaboratively with the community and PCN’s to reach women disproportionately affected by inequality.
- See clearly how a 60-minute presentation can change a woman's health understanding and beliefs, empowering her with choice and understanding.
- Practical tips to improve awareness, trust and engagement in these groups.
